A COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL PAINTINGS

The gallery contains a collection of original paintings mainly in watercolour or pastel. It is split into individual galleries of Pastels, Watercolours, New Paintings and a Sale Gallery where you will find paintings greatly reduced in price. Most of the paintings are for sale, details being shown alongside the larger image. All of the paintings are mounted, usually with a double mount. The watercolours are sold unframed, while pastels and pastel pencil are sold framed as pastel can easily smudge during transit if unprotected. My paintings are mostly done from my own photographs and sketches. I enjoy painting landscapes and buildings in watercolour, sometimes using ink as well to give more definition. For animal portraits, I find pastel and pastel pencils very good. I also enjoy using coloured pencils and there is one work using this medium in the Pastels Gallery.

I am a member of the Society for All Artists (SAA) and through them receive lots of encouragement and inspiration. With their support a few of us have formed our own art group. If there is anyone in the local (Tameside, East Manchester) area who would like to paint with us, we meet every Wednesday evening at 7.30 pm at Stockport Road Methodist Church, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire.
